Counselor Training Program

Our Counselor Training Program (CTP) was developed specifically to assist men and women who experience unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA) and their loved ones. Our CTP is used worldwide by therapists, ministry leaders, and coaches. You may either participate in our in-person CTP or listen to the 16-disc CD series and study the accompanying 180-page manual.

In this comprehensive therapeutic model you will learn how to:

  • Evaluate the causes of SSA and develop a comprehensive treatment plan
  • Identify the four stages of resolving unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA)
  • Understand the meaning of sexual fantasies and masturbation
  • Provide therapeutic modalities for each stage of treatment
  • Assist clients in establishing healthy relationships with peers and mentors
  • Develop protocol for group therapy/support groups
  • Prepare former SSA men and women for dating
  • Teach parents/family members how to support their SSA loved ones
Psychotherapist, educator, and author Richard Cohen facilitates this training program and is the speaker on our CD series (16 discs and 180-page manual). Cohen has counseled and successfully helped hundreds of men and women transition from a homosexual to a heterosexual orientation over the past 21 years. Additionally, he has assisted hundreds of parents restore relationships with their SSA loved ones. In this landmark training series, he shares the "how to's" of change.
